Join us for an unforgettable Polar Whale Safari in Tromsø, available from November to mid-January. Get up close with curious humpback and killer whales in their own territory and experience the beautiful nature of the Arctic.
Our experienced guides will pick you up in Tromsø city center and take you on a scenic boat trip to Skjervøy, where the adventure begins. During the whale watching safari, you'll have the chance to see other animals such as sea eagles and all sorts of birds.
Whale Safari in Tromsø’s Majestic Waters
Whales are curious creatures and often come close to the boat to check out what's happening. Our guides know exactly what to look for and will make sure you get the best view and photo opportunities.
We start the tour at 8:00 in the morning to be the first boat in the area and spend more time with the whales than other boats. Don't worry about the cold - we provide insulated suits and hot drinks to keep you warm.

What should you bring?
- Warm clothes (at least two layers), gloves and hat, good winter boots
Amazing cruise even though the weather was not great the tour operator did everything to help make the trip fun. Saw various birds and even managed to catch a fish. Food was also great and plentiful, even catered for food allergies.
Stunningly beautiful. As a person whose been to many remote places the sights here were truly stunning. Also the man who led the tour is absolutely hilarious.
It was a really really good experience, very well organized and father and son were a really good crew. We had done to the wale safari too which was also a good trip, Thomas is a really nice and friendly guy. We can only say we will do it again if we stay in tromsø.
